Storm Lake Iowa Project Awaysis

Spray ground: Provides interactive sprays as well as themed climbing objects on a safety surface that young swimmers and toddlers can enjoy.

Slides: The indoor waterpark will offer three unique adventures on slides, two of which take riders outside the building and back in. The signature slide is an enclosed double inner-tube raft ride which exits the building where it twists and turns before plunging the rider back inside to the pool. The next is a fun simple closed body slide. The final slide is an open flume body slide with many turns; at the end the rider comes to a slide out where the rider slows down to a stop and exits onto the pool deck instead of splashing into the pool. It’s great for those who prefer something a little more traditional.

Water channel: The water channel allows riders to take a relaxing ride on the indoor water channel and can watch sliders plunge into the pool. During scheduled hours the water channel can also be used for fitness by walking against the current. It will be a great place to exercise during those chilly winter months.

Water playground: A fascinating feature of the indoor pool is the water playground, where families are sure to find fun. Here there is a smaller family slide where, for example, a parent can slide down with their children. This playground area will also have many interactive features which will shoot water out and have many different lights and colors. No need to worry about having to swim to get there either, just enter from the zero depth entrance and be ready to enjoy a fun time with your family.

Other features: While enjoying all the other features of the indoor waterpark don’t forget about the floatable walk pad, where swimmers attempt to make it to the other side of the pool on the floatable pads attached to the bottom of the pool by using ropes that hang above and the water basketball hoop, where many good games of water basketball are sure to be played. For those who enjoy lap swimming, there will be two lap lanes and for those who just want to relax while in the water, try out the water seating area equipped with jets where the swimmer can relax in the pool while watching swimmers go down the slides, ride on the water channel, or cross the floatable walk.  There will also be concession facilities, a second floor party room and restrooms.
