Lap Lanes: The youth swim team program will be able to enjoy the new outdoor pool which will include six lap lanes for competition swimming. For the many spectators who wish to watch there will be shaded seating areas on either end of the competition lanes.
Diving Boards: The outdoor pool features the return of diving boards. Two diving boards, one three meters and the other one meter, will be placed by the deep end of the pool so swimmers can Jump Right In!
Kiddie Spray Island: Another great feature of the outdoor pool is the Kiddie Spray Island. Here families, especially those with young children, can enjoy a family slide which shoots out water as riders slide down, different water spray features all over the island, and a smaller slide for those who aren’t quite big enough to enjoy the water park thrill slides. Not far from the island are large floatables attached to the bottom of the pool, where children can climb and float on while in the water.
Other features: The outdoor pool is meant for both young and old to enjoy. In order to accommodate everyone, in the outdoor pool there will also be a zero depth entry with a separate spray ground area, a basketball hoop, a floatable walk where swimmers try and make their way across the pool by hanging on to the ropes above and walking on floatable pads whichare attached to the bottom of the pool, and a seating area in the pool, equipped with jets to help swimmers relax. By both the outdoor pool and water park there are shaded areas for resting, a bathhouse facility with both male, female and family locker rooms, and a concession stand.
