Storm Lake Iowa Project Awaysis

Lazy River: Enjoy a fantastic ride in a tube on the six hundred sixty foot long lazy river. While taking the ride, watch swimmers slide down the five unique slides that empty near the river.

Unique Slides: In the outdoor facility there are five slides, each offering a different and exciting ride. Climb up the slide tower and choose from one of the five slides. One incredible option is the half-open, half-enclosed flume slide where two ridersper inner-tube slide down the longest slide in Iowa! For the first few hundred feet the slide is enclosed and takes the riders on many winding turns; before emptying into the lazy river area, the slide is no longer enclosed, making for an interesting ride. Looking for something a little faster or even want to race a friend? If so, swimmers will want to check out the side-by-side speed slides. Here riders go for a 3.3 second ride down a 63-foot drop. These slides are made even more exciting by having the top part be enclosed and the bottom portion of it open. If swimmers want to test their skill rather than speed, then the splash bowl slide is a great option. At the top of the slide tower riders start down a closed flume slide before entering a 60-foot enclosed bowl. Here the rider’s skill amd speed determines the number of times they circle the bowl before falling into the center splash pool. And for those who enjoy the more traditional slides the final option is an open flume body slide. Its winding twists and turns make it just as enjoyable as the rest.
