After having some relaxing time on the beach or enjoying the Great Lawn, spend some time at the Family Playground Park. The Family Playground, a place for people of all ages, will have many new playground features, but for those who enjoy the traditional playground fun there will be many slides and swings to enjoy as well.
The Family Playground with its slides, educational boards and climbing structures are just a part of the fun and exciting features awaiting families and kids of all ages in the Family Playground Park located near the Great Lawn and the Lake Shore Beach. Swings, bridges and tunnels to climb through will also be available for children to enjoy. Another great feature of the playground will be the plan to make the playground both fun and accessible kids of all abilities.
The Family Playground will be surrounded with a rock wall 3 foot high, perferct for parents and grandparents to sit on while watching their young kids have fun. The playground will also be surrounded and accessible by the Lake Trail.
A group of Citizen volunteers are currently reviewing proposals from six playground vendors and are expected to make a final selection in the next few weeks. At that time the final proposal will be posted on this page.
