The steel framing for the rock structure is mostly in place at this point. Next crews will install the mesh backbone of the structure then hand apply the first layer of a sand, concrete and fiberglass mixture. |

The half pipe at the bottom of the area is for the water from the top of the play area to drain back to the pool for recirculation and the silver handle is part of the interactive features of the area. |

One of the two man crew places the first layer of material on by hand. This crew just finished a job in Brazil before coming to Storm Lake. Once the first layer is on they will spray on the rock formation. |
